Honors Application Process for Transfer Students
Students who are applying for transfer admission to Miami University may be considered for admission to the University Honors Program if (at the time of application) they meet the following eligibility criteria. Transfer students must have
- a 3.5 GPA (or higher) at their current institutions, and
- be in their first or sophomore years.
Transfer students who meet these eligibility criteria do not need to submit a separate application or additional materials to be considered for the University Honors Program. They will be automatically considered for admission to the University Honors Program during their Miami University admission review process by the Office of Admission.
Transfer admission to the University Honors Program is highly competitive and selective. Miami University’s application review process is holistic. Students invited into the Honors Program have exceptional academic records and impressive extra- and co-curricular accomplishments. The Office of Admission includes invitations to the University Honors Program in students’ admission information packets.
Honors Requirements for Transfer Students

Honors advisors are available to assist transfer students in developing their plan for completion of these Honors Experiences.
